There has been lots of discussions lately (that I have read) in regards to privacy and data on laptops. More and more often people are being asked to show documents, images, and other private data to TSA security at an airport. Today, while messing around with Time Machine, I came up with an interesting idea. Before going on a plane ride to Someplace, delete or securely delete your user's data. After you arrive back home restore from a time machine backup. The security of this approach depends on how far a user trusts their data deletion. Reinstalling is probably the safest approach, although a bit time consuming.
