Wil Wheaton posted today a remarkable article on gay marriages. I think that it is aprapos that Wil, from Star Trek: TNG fame, writes on an issue that would not be a problem in Star Trek and it is currently an issue in America. It should not be an issue in America. The gay’s quest for happiness doesn’t threaten my life and future marriage to my fiance. The State of the Union will be in a sad state if President Bush gets what he wants: an amendment to the Constitution.

15|Mar|2004 2Gay marriages are not about the term gay, but rather the term marriage. Many people think that gay marriage is wrong. These people are scared of it and too ignorant to try to have an open mind to other peoples beliefs. It is about declaring your love for one another to the world and to show that you are in a commited relationship. The fact of the matter is, let people be happy. Its not hurting anyone, so people against it should get over their close minded thinking and let people be free and happy

23|Mar|2004 3The only problem with that Brianna is that the laws and the amendment proposed by Bush are based on religion. Most people that are religous are close minded because they were taught that their religion was the “right one”. The fact of the matter is, they think they are not when they are. I am Catholic, and it says in the bible that Homosexualityl is against the religion. However, unlike most, i acknowledge that fact that the people that are homosexual may not believe in god. I respect that. It is also a statistic that there are over 12 million Americans that have experienced an physical relationship with a person of the same sex, and choose to go down that path for their life. This is acutally an estimated 2 million increase from a survey in the 1940’s. gotta run. Next hour calls.

29|Mar|2004 4i think that if two people are in love no matter what sexual preference they have they should be able to marry whom ever they want to.

30|Mar|2004 5I beleive that we should have gay marriages. Even though people want to call it a “union” Well why not i mean if your still getting married why do you care what its called. Also most gay marriages come with alot of slurred remarks or rude and inappropriate comments, but one thing i hope all of those gay people remember if they want to adopt a child think of what they have to go through. My main Beleif is that if it makes them happy then why not and if America is a free country, with freedom of speech, and religon, and if America says no to gay marriages well then isn’t America being a Hypacrit? Thats my opinion on it anmd i am goping to do a report on it for my school to convince kids to not be so narrow minded on the topic. From April B a 7th grader at Eaf Juinopr high Ill
